The Billy Burchard Foundation
The Billy Burchard Foundation was founded in May 2007 by Billy Burchard's widow and a few of his close friends, who decided to honor Billy in a way that would give hope to cancer patients. By raising money for cancer research, by pledging funds to provide temporary housing for cancer patients, and by sponsoring camp for children who have cancer, we aim to ease some of the stress caused by a cancer diagnosis.
Our Mission: The Billy Burchard Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation that awards grants for oncology research to individuals and organizations striving to find a cure for cancer. It also provides financial assistance for those affected by cancer, helping to reduce the suffering of cancer patients and their families.

Fifth Annual Hit It & Hope
The fifth annual Hit It & Hope Golf Tournament and Auction is scheduled for August 1, 2011 at the Ocean Course of New Seabury on Cape Cod, MA. This is The Billy Burchard Foundation’s primary fundraising event. It is named for one of Billy’s essential golf strategies, which we celebrate along with everything else Billy, while we raise funds to help others in the battle against cancer. Above all, we have fun, as Billy would want us to. We hope you can join us.

One of 100 Honorees
The Billy Burchard Foundation is very proud to announce that it has been named as an honoree at the upcoming Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center's The One Hundred Event 2010. We have been selected based on our foundation's fund raising efforts which in part support cancer research at MGH. The One Hundred Event 2010 will take place Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 6 PM at The Westin Boston Waterfront, Boston, MA. An extraordinary evening is planned that will recognize 100 individuals, foundations, groups, philanthropists, doctors and nurses, employees, philanthropists, and others who have been instrumental in advancing cancer care and research at MGH.
